Wedding day starts a new journey of women’s life. Every girl wants and feels like on top of the world on her D-Day. She is the centre of attraction thus she should and desires to look at her best on this blessed day. Make up plays an important role in making princess a queen. The bridal makeup should be such that it compliments her taste and skin tone. The make up has to hide flaws on the face.

As we talk about Indian bride….The key to Indian bride’s bridal dressing and make up is warm; with lot of reds and gold. Bridal make up should enhance the dewy radiance of the bride naturally.

Tips to look gorgeous
Remember to go for waterproof makeup for monsoon wedding, use cream based makeup for winter wedding or water based makeup for summer wedding or if the bride’s skin is oily.

Bridal makeup trends are increasingly becoming glossy and shimmery day by day. Your make up should be such that it matches with your hairstyle and dress.

Time of the wedding also affects the type of makeup like heavy and more dramatic makeup looks well at night whereas in daytime the same looks odd under harsh rays of the sun. More and more bright, pastel shades should be used for spring or summer wedding. For a winter wedding, warmer and deeper shades will be better.

Make-up for Brides
Make-up looks smooth on great skin. So start with cleansing and moisturizing the skin.

Foundation & Concealer
Fill the pores and lines, with primer so that makeup spreads evenly on face. Apply concealer to hide marks or warts on skin.

Wait for 10 minutes to sink in the primer before applying foundation. The foundation closest to your skin tone is applied evenly on the neck, back, ears and other exposed areas.

Wedding day means a lot of photography so make sure your foundation must be in yellow tones as it works best with flash photography. Dust pressed translucent powder to avoid your face from getting shiny. Add warmth with bronzing powder to get a natural glow.

Blush
Blush is the makeup to highlight the cheekbones. Artistically apply layers of blush. Choose a darker shade that's closer to the color of your chest, palms, or fingertips. A pale bronze or copper shade works best for a dusky complexion and pale pinks for fairer complexions.

Eye
The make up of eyes is very important as they score all the attraction of the face.

Apply black liquid eye liner, on lashes and blend to smoothen. Then cover eyelid with eye shadow complimenting bride’s dress to set the look or in copper, chestnut brown, peaches, pink browns, etc. Comb your brows with a clear eyebrow gel. Apply Kajal and black or brown waterproof mascara to make your eyes look bigger.

Determine the best feature between eyes and lips. Highlight it! If you have dramatic eyes, go for a light-color lip shade and if using a dark lipstick, the eye make up should be natural.

Lipstick
Moisturise and coat lips with foundation; this will smoothen it and also prevents feathering around fine lines. Line the lips with same colour lipliner as the lipstick you are using to fill the lips. Apply a dab of gloss in the center of your bottom lip. Use long staying lipstick in warm tones as browns, red browns or light pinks.
