Home remedies for reducing hair fall

Though lots of products are available in market for reducing hair fall but it is advisable to go for home remedies using natural products rather than opting for chemicals that are harmful for hairs.

1. Hair Oil Massage

Very common and simple way to reduce hair loss is to massage your scalp with appropriate hair oil. You can use any hair oil like coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil, etc whichever suits you best.  Massage with warm oil on your scalp which will increase blood flow and increases the strength of hair’s roots. It also helps in reducing stress.

Doing massage at least once a week will provide good results.

2. Amla/Indian Gooseberry

Deficiency of vitamin C causes hair loss. Gooseberry has exfoliating and antibacterial properties which helps in maintaining a healthy scalp and promote hair growth.

Just mix one tablespoon of amla juice with one tablespoon lemon juice. Massage your scalp with the mixture and Cover your hair with a shower cap and Leave it overnight.

Shampoo your hair in the morning.

3. Fenugreek or Dana methi

Fenugreek seeds contain proteins and nicotinic acid that stimulate hair growth. Make a hair pack. For this you need to soak one cup of fenugreek/methi in water overnight. Next morning just grind them to make a paste and apply the paste to your hair and leave it to for about 40 minutes. Follow this remedy for atleast a month.

4. Onion Juice

Onion juice has antibacterial properties which help to treat hair loss.it also helps to improve blood circulation to the hair follicles. Just grate one onion and then strain it. Apply the juice on the scalp and leave it for about 30 minutes, and then wash it off with shampoo.

5. Aloe Vera

Alkalizing properties of Aloe vera helps in maintaining pH to a more desirable level, which helps to promote hair growth. Apply aloe vera gel or juice onto the scalp and Leave it on for a few hours and then wash it off with lukewarm water.

 

Regular use of Aloe Vera can also relieve scalp itching, reduce scalp redness and inflammation, add strength and luster to hair, and alleviate dandruff.

6. Beetroot

Beetroot juice contains carbohydrates, protein, potassium, phosphorus, calcium and vitamins B and C. Drink fresh beetroot juice. Also you can boil a few beetroot leaves (boiled in water) along with henna and apply the paste on your scalp. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing it out. Repeat several times a week.

7. Coconut Milk

Coconut milk helps to promote hair growth and also helps in hair fall prevention.for this you just need freshly grated coconut. Add it to pan of water and let it simmer for few minutes. Let it simmer for 5 minutes. Then strain it and let it cool.Apply this to your scalp and leave it for about 20-30 minutes and then wash off.

8. Curd:

Curd is easily available at home.It is one of the best conditioners and helps to improve the quality and prevents hair fall as well. For this you can mix curd with black pepper and apply this on your hair for 20-30 minutes and then Wash off.Also you can mix curd with lime for hair conditioning.
